jessica went to a talent competition in los angeles that came through diane mcfarlane's agency in denver. she took the kids and prepared them to go to l.a. they walked into this competition feeling like a million bucks because they were all prepared. so jessica did really well at that competition, that is what won her an acting scholarship to a school in los angeles, and the women who then became herman that injuries at that time -- managers at that time and one of them will be involved with diane mcfarlane here some time in washington. so we went from being in a competition to basically being discovered, to that competition but also because of the referrals that came from our agents in denver. so from there, they give us this wonderful scholarship we didn't know what to do with it we were from colorado. we were like country bumpkinshollywood was not part of our vocabulary. they said come out for pilot season. we spent three, january, february, march used to be pilot season and we would go out and stay in apartments with a lot of other family who come out to do the same thing and kids go
